This yoga retreat in India is designed to give you a holistic experience of health, healing, and peace. You will be staying at Amar homestay with the family that will host you for 6 nights. After your arrival, on the first day, you will be introduced to a yoga and meditation teacher followed by a delicious dinner prepared by the wives of your hosts. The next day would begin by a yoga session and then a short trek to Jogini waterfalls to enjoy the serene beauty of Mother Nature. On the 3rd day, after the yoga and meditation session, you will be taken to visit the Sethen village to explore the local culture. Each day begins with an in-depth yoga and meditation session.
On the fourth day, after the yoga and meditation session, you will be led on a trek to Raulikholi which would be a trek for approximately 5 hours. On the 5th day, after the yoga and meditation session, you have the option to go out and explore the village of Vashisht. On the 6th day, after the yoga and meditation session, you will be taken on adventurous activities such as canyoning. On the 7th day, after the yoga and meditation session in the morning, you can check out and continue on your journey ahead. Breakfast and Dinner will be provided on all the days of your stay at Amar Home Stay. Lunch will not be provided. There are many places in Vashisht that you can explore for your lunch meals.

You will be staying in the Amar Family House, which is a homestay with simple accommodation. Located in the middle of the village Vashisht, it is three kilometers from Manali town and two minutes' walk from the hot spring, temples, shops, and rooftops. Amar's family are the original inhabitants of Vashishth Village, which is a village that has got its name after Aryan sage Vashishtha.
Known for its hot sulfur springs endowed, with great healing powers. Besides the hot springs, there is a temple dedicated to Vashishtha. The family house offers double rooms with attached bathroom and toilet. From every room, you have a great view of the mountains and you can hear the sound of the Beas river constantly rushing below.
The bedrooms at Amar Homestay offers scenic views of the valley, river, and the majestic and magical mountains. The bathroom comes equipped with a shower and warm water. The rooms are spacious and clean for a simple and wholesome stay.
Your meals will be cooked by Ritu Jiand Padma Ji, the woman of the family. They will provide you with homemade vegetarian and yogic food. Non-vegetarian food can be provided on request. They mostly cook Indian food with fresh green vegetables, less spices, and oil. The fresh milk is curd from their own cow.

Chhappe Ram has been practicing yoga since 2007. He is an expert in Hatha yoga, teaches Pranayama (breathing techniques), gentle Yoga asana, and is a practicing Thai yoga massage. He completed his yoga teacher training from the Nada Yoga School in Rishikesh and learned Thai Massage from professionals. Chhappe is also an experienced mountaineer and trekking guide. He has traveled all over India, guiding tours and organizing camping and trekking expeditions. He has over 20 years of experience as a travel guide and 10 years as an experienced yoga and meditation practitioner.
As one of the senior priests of the Rama temple, he is a highly respected figure in the village. He has deep knowledge of yoga, meditation and spirituality are sure to help one grow in their search towards the divine. He loves to share his learnings and knowledge and is passionate about discussions that expand one's mind and soul. At 73 years, he is a beautiful human being to know and learn from.
Ricky is the founder of Open Lotus Yoga in the United States and has experience of more than 20 years in the healing art of yoga and meditation. His certifications include Certified Integrative Yoga Therapy Instructor, Certified Astanga Yoga Teacher from Sivananda Ashram in India, Chair Yoga Instructor, Multiple Sclerosis Yoga Instructor, Reiki Master Instructor, Meditation Teacher, and a Thai Yoga Body Practitioner.n
